Pentel Orenz 0.2mm Lead Supporting Mechanical Pencil
0.2mm mechanical pencil with a clever lead-support design. That's right, a 0.2mm pencil, for when 0.3mm lead just won't cut it.
Obviously, with leads as fragile as 0.2mm any attempt to write with the lead without some kind of support will result in it snapping, no matter how careful you are. That's where the Orenz's clever lead-supporting tube comes in.
The design uses a sliding tube that slowly retracts into the tip of the pencil as you're writing. As you write, the lead slowly wears down, and this tube follows the lead all the way. A single click and the tube is advanced, and you're ready to start writing again.
In our testing, we didn't snap the lead once. Much to our surprise, the Orenz can also write at almost any angle without issue as the metal tube doesn't snag the paper.
